White Tentage Fabrication

A local customer needed an outdoors tentage / canopy that could be easily erected and dismantled when it was not needed. It is a simple design with 4 main legs (detachable) and a roof frame on top that the white canvas could stretch out on.

It was a big frame, big enough to hold vip or even park a car underneath it

Scorpio Engineering was in charge of fabricating the frame and making sure it looked pretty and rust free by powder coating it

Above we can see the main frame, hollow sections all across the frame to make sure it is strong and it will not warp over time
First, we had to make sure the frame was easily assembled and dismantled and that means the frame had to be split into two, and easily assembled using standards nuts and bolts
Frame can be separated into two for easy storage, you can see the welding work on top, still not a pretty exterior at this time

The frame was bent into a nice round shape on top, using a combination of square hollow sections and strengthened with stiffeners, this roof frame will be solid and able to hold the weight of the heavy canvas
The sides have mild steel plate stiffeners. Safety is always our concern. This frame is waiting to be picked up for powder coating
Last detail of where we fabricated the two detachable sides. Note that it is one smooth piece without any distortion between the left and right piece.

Next we had to chemical wash out the frame, powder coat it to make it nice and white

No ugly dent marks or welding mistakes. No "pock holes" after powder coating. Scorpio has really done another excellent fabrication job
We delivered the frame to the customer, and they did an inspection and assembled the parts. After they were satisfied, they kept it in an indoors location.
