The Corten Mural Project Part 1

Designed by the local designer Juan Peck Foon, we have started to fabricate a metal mural for a private house in Singapore, Wayland Smith Projects with Scorpio Engineering Services will be the ones fabricating this incredible Corten mural / art / design project.

We got a tight deadline but I think we are going to make it. Cut, Rust and Install !

First, we took the smaller thickness 3mm Kian Bee Holdings Pte Ltd's Corten Plate which was cut from a coil and sent it in to be cut and sheared

But the thicker Corten Plate, 6mm from Avant Steel Ltd was too big to be transported or cut, so we had to lay it out, cut it with a gas cutter

Measure it up, we have to get the dimensions exactly right or else it would not look that great. This 6mm plate is really long. Here, Mr Chia is laying out the track and measuring up.

Cutting Machine doing a beautiful straight cut

Finally, after 2 hours, its over! We had to spend a lot of time getting the flame right, making the track straight and other mechanical problems to overcome
